Country music outlaw Creed Fisher returns with fire in his lungs and a bottle in hand in his latest single, “Wood Smoke” — a smoke-stained, whiskey-soaked anthem for the hard-working, hard-living American. With its heavy grit, unapologetic spirit, and backwoods bonfire energy, “Wood Smoke” is pure Creed Fisher: raw, real, and rooted in blue-collar pride.
“Wood Smoke is a song I wrote with my buddy Logan Rush, who also sang on the track,” says Fisher. “It’s a song
about family and friends. It’s about our way of life—working hard, loving hard, and playing hard. Build a fire and pour a drink, because it’s time to smell a little Wood Smoke,” he continues.
Set against a backdrop of burning oak with glowing embers and familiar American rituals, the song leans into Fisher’s signature themes — brotherhood, rebellion, and a life lived on the edge. From the opening lines “Out where the river bends, the whiskey it still flows,” Fisher paints a picture of release and reckoning.
Driven by outlaw grit and sharpened with Southern rock edge, “Wood Smoke” is more than a drinking song — it’s a celebration of freedom, family, and finding peace in the fire.
